Aveda Fredric's Institute was established in 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
Aveda Fredric's Institute is a licensed, award-winning, school of cosmetology, esthiology and nail esthetics. We carry the full line of Aveda hair, skin, makeup and lifestyle products while operating a student salon and spa offering hair services, facials, manicures, pedicures and makeup applications provided by students who are supervised by licensed instructors. Our services are offered to women, men and children age 6 and older.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Frederic Holzberger first began distributing Aveda products and providing education to salons in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky in 1985. Believing firmly in quality education and seeing the need for qualified professionals Frederic and Julie Holzberger opened the first Aveda Fredric's Institute in 1999 followed by the Indianapolis location in 2005.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The Aveda Fredric’s Institute was founded to create some of the most successful entrepreneurs in hair, skin and nail esthetics, makeup and total body wellness. Our students are educated by accomplished professionals, using innovative curriculums that blend professional techniques with retail and business-building skills. We continually assist our graduates and alumni with career placement while building relationships with top salons and the ever-growing Aveda salon and spa network.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 2 locations. West Chester, Ohio at Voice of America Centre and Indianapolis, Indiana at Castleton Square Mall.

From the South follow I-75 N to Exit 22, Tylersville Road. Turn right off the exit toward Mason. At the third light turn left onto Cox Road. Make an immediate right into Voice of America Center. We are located next to Target.
From the North take I-75 South to exit 22, Tylersville Road and turn left off the exit. At the 4th light turn left onto Cox Road and then an immediate right into Voice of America Centre. Look for us next to Target.

We are centrally located in West Chester and accept students from across the country. Many of our guests drive long distances to experience all that the Aveda Fredric's Institute has to offer in guest services.

We are open for retail and services Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
